You’re invited to gather with us at Tin Camp Studios at THE Hungry Spirit for an afternoon of conversation, extraordinary music and big ideas about what business can make possible in our communities.
SOCIAL PURPOSE — FROM 5.00PM
We’ll begin with an informal conversation about social enterprise—or, more simply, doing business for good—with Kylie Flament, CEO of the Social Enterprise Council of NSW & ACT (SECNA).
Social enterprise gives communities another way to address local challenges, create opportunities and generate income in service of a social, cultural or environmental purpose.
Come and learn more about SECNA, hear how social enterprise is already being used to create meaningful community outcomes through organisations such as THE Hungry Spirit, and explore what might be possible here in Lightning Ridge and across our region.
This conversation is open to anyone who is curious, including business owners, social entrepreneurs, community organisations and organisers, artists, changemakers, seekers and people carrying an idea they would love to bring to life.
You don’t need to own a business or know anything about social enterprise before you arrive.

SÁMI SOUND — FROM 6.00PM
Following the conversation, we’ll welcome Swedish trio KrÅiK to Tin Camp Studios at THE Hungry Spirit for a rare and intimate musical experience.
Fresh from their Australian debut with Moorambilla Voices at the Sydney Opera House, KrÅiK roams the borderlands between traditional Sámi joik, jazz and improvisational music. Their sound is contemporary while remaining deeply rooted in Sámi heritage.
KrÅiK is:
Anna Kråik — joik and drum
Jens Comén — saxophone, loops and percussion
Jonas Ehnroth — guitar, loops and effects
At the heart of KrÅiK’s music is Anna’s joik—a voice with roots deeply intertwined with Sámi culture that can be raw, beautiful, tender and incredibly powerful. Around Anna’s joik, Jens and Jonas create open soundscapes with room for improvisation, responsiveness and playfulness.
Drawing upon the Sámi storytelling tradition, their music reflects on identity, nature, spirituality, social change and existence from both personal and universal perspectives.
Composer and pianist Elizabeth Jigalin will open the musical program, creating a frozen landscape of field recordings inside a piano, inspired by time spent with Anna in Sweden earlier this year.
KrÅiK’s Australian visit is supported by Moorambilla Voices and builds upon an ongoing international artistic and cultural exchange between Australia and Sweden, initially supported by Creative Australia.
PAY WHAT YOU CAN
We want this gathering to be accessible to everyone, so tickets are Pay What You Can.
Please choose the contribution that is right for you. Every ticket provides the same experience, and everyone is equally welcome.
Contributions from this event will support Tin Camp Studios at THE Hungry Spirit, Moorambilla Voices and SECNA.
Come for the conversation. Come for the music. Come curious about what becomes possible when culture, enterprise and community meet.
